A group of students shared 3 rolls of clay equally. if each student got 1/2 of a roll of clay,how many students were in the group? explain.

6 students were in the group. 1 roll cut in half is two pieces equaling 2 students. 3 rolls = 6 halves.  6 halves = 6 students. hope this helped
