There is no solution. The first step to solving the equation is distributing the 6 into the x-1, and after that the equation looks like this: 6x-1=6x-1, which, if you were to finish solving the equation, would end up being 0=0, or in other words no solution. 
6(x-1) = 6x-1. The two equations are not equivalent. When you distribute the 6 on the left side you will get 6x-6=6x-1. Add the 6 the other side and get 6x= 6x+5. Then subtract the 6x on the right side to the left and youll notice it cancels itself out. there is no solution.
