So 30  -  20%= 18

18 is your answer
All you have to do is multiply [tex]30%*60[/tex].  Remember though, 30% is a percentage out of 100, so really it's equal to [tex]\frac{30}{100} = \frac{3}{10} = 0.3[/tex]

Now just multiply that decimal by the 60 chocolates!

[tex]60*0.3=18[/tex]

So he gave away 18 chocolates!
