y = 2x + 10....slope here is 2. A parallel line will have the same slope.

a parallel line would be : y = 2x - 10 or y = 2x + 4, or y = 2x - 8.......as long as it is y = 2x....and as long as that last number is not + 10...then it will be parallel.
