Asexual and sexual reproduction have these two things in common :
They involve cellular division and they result in production of offspring.
These two processes differ by the number of cells needed for the reproduction, the type of cell division involved and the genetic structure of the daughter cells.
In asexual reproduction there is no mixing of genetic material, the mother cell just divides into two by mitosis and creates its identical clone. On the other side, in sexual reproduction, two haploid cells formed in the meiotic division fuse, combining their genetic material and creating a genetically unique individual.
Syngenesis includes two-parent to produce offspring, and agamogeny includes only one parent to produce offspring.

Difference:
Agamogeny
- Agamogeny does not require reproducing cells or fertilization.
- It includes single parent.
- There is no genetic fusion or mixing, they are just clones of the parent.
Syngenesis
- Syngenesis requires reproducing cells and fertilization to occur
- It requires two-parent.
- Mixing of genetic information happens between two parents.
Similarities:
- Both produce new offspring.
- In both modes of reproduction, the transfer of genetic material happens.
