In photosynthesis, plants take in carbon dioxide and turn it into energy that comes out as oxygen.

During the process of photosynthesis, the plant take in three things:
• sunlight (through the chloroplasts)
• carbon dioxide (under the leaves)
• water (through the roots).

This whole process creates oxygen and glucose. I hope this helps.
