A person buys a car and signs a contract to pay $200 a month. Five months after said
person bought the car, they total it. They decide since they no longer have the car, they
do not have to pay the person it was purchased from anymore. Since a contract was
signed the seller has a legal right to bring the buyer to court for the full amount of the
cost of the car. If the court system agrees with the seller, the buyer would be required to
pay the full amount of the car.
