Is a hot dog a sandwich or not?

In order for it to be a sandwich there needs to be two separate slices with meat and or other things in between the slices. So I would say no since the bun is a whole

I live in a small rural area. I'm hundreds of miles from the nearest major league baseball stadium. I've never seen my team (Yankees) play.

Yes a hot dog is a sandwich. It has all the ingredients for one. A top and bottom of bread, and all sorts of things in the middle including the dog, Isn't that a sandwich.
