Each nation, rather than striving to work together, tried to go it alone. By choosing
to go it alone, the industrialized nations worsened the damage to the world
economy and laid the foundations for the events that would culminate in the
Second World War (1939-1945). Briefly discuss the causes of the Great
Depression and how it was a factor in bringing about World War II (1939-1945).

Some factors of the Great Depression were the burst of the 1920s credit bubble in the United States as well as the overinflated investing market during the same decade. It helped cause WW2 by radicalising Germans (really by the Nazis) against the rest of the world who they already blamed for their troubles during the 20s.
