Definition of cognitive dissonance:
“the state of having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioral decisions and attitude change.”
So an example of cognitive dissonance could be:
- Someone bumping into you when you’re on your way to work and they accidentally spill their coffee into you.
This is an example of cognitive dissonance because cognitive dissonance can be someone that happens too fast so you can’t realize what’s happening at that moment.
