In the book I read, I learned about dolphins. The title is "Whales Dolphins and Porpoises" by Mark Carwardine. I learned that when a dolphin is sick or injured, the rest of the pod will ban together to make sure their friend will get air by raising the dolphin up and down for air. I learned that if enough ban together, they can drive away a great white shark. They use echolocation to find their food which is fish, squid, shrimp, jellyfish, and octopus. Finally, I learned that each dolphin has its own name for each memebr of the pod. They comunicate with clicks, whistles, and splashes.
