Mary Meloney fear most about her unborn children, being alone as well as getting caught for murdering her husband and this shows how it affect her action by cover up the murder. Furthermore, If she was discovered she would face more consequences if she pleaded guilty. In paragraph 47, Mary thought what were the laws about murderer with unborn children and she didn’t want to try it either. She then practiced in front of the mirror so she knew what to do  along with  acting normal. In addition, she went to the grocer (Sam) and this allowed Mary to have an explanation in case she was considered suspect. In conclusion, Mary asked the police to eat the lamb leg so she can get rid of the murder weapon as well as suspect. Therefore you can conclude that Mary Maloney fear affected her action.
