1. A circle has a diameter from (8,2) to (0,2). Find the coordinates of the center of the circle and find the area. Use 3.14 as pi.
2. An amusement park just build a brand new Ferris wheel. But the Ferris wheel rolled 4 revolutions before coming to stop. The diameter of the Ferris wheel is 520 feet. What's the area of the circle? <----I'm not sure what was the question at the end I'm sorry but I think it was that.
Since it’s 8,0 and 0,2 that means that the mid point is 4,1. You find the mid point because it’s the middle of the circle since the diameter would go from one point of a circle to another
The distance of the diameter is 8.25units To find that you would do (x2-x1) which would equal -8 and (y2-y1) which would equal 2. -8^2 would be 64 and 2^2 would be 4. 64+4=68. The square root of 68 is about 8.25. 8.25 divided by 2~4.13
Now the area A=pi*r^2 =3.14*4.13^2 =3.14*17.1 =53.7units2
So the coordinates of the center of the circle are (4,1) and the area of the circle is 53.7units2
