Learning about the connections between finding the GCF of numbers, the distributive property, multiplying polynomials, and factoring has helped me understand how to simplify and solve for equations. The distributive property taught me about how to easily simplifying equations, since the requirement is to just distribute the given to the number(s). Factoring has taught me how to make an equation easier to solve.
