First, why did so many civilizations develop in and around river
valleys? How did rivers in Mesopotamia, Egypt and India affect
each society's religion, government, day-to-day life, social roles,
etc.? Next, explain what impact the advent of writing had on the
cultures and faith systems of the people groups discussed in
chapters 2 and 3 (Sumerian, Egyptian, Jewish, Aryan, Buddhist,
Hindu, etc.).
Because all civilization need to start with agriculture to make sure the people does not die by starving and water in needed to let food grow as a result civilization usually develop around river.
