The supreme court has not always agreed to the rights of black people right from when the country started.
Initially the blacks were segregated and discriminated on through laws that were made by the court.
- In the year 1883, the supreme court had rule that the civil rights act that had forbidden discrimination on blacks was unconstitutional.
- In Brown V. Board of education the same court ruled that discrimination on blacks was unconstitutional.
2. The reasons that led to the rise of authoritarian governments are:
- economic turmoil
- Post war upheavals
- Discontent
People were no longer satisfied with the state of the economy. The governments had to use authoritarianism to clamp down on protests.
