David Rodriguez is a junior at Central High School. He has set long-term career goals to become an air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic. His advisors agreed that his career choice was consistent with David's interest in mechanics and using tools and his emphasis on problem solving and technical information. David set several short-term goals for his senior year. He plans to complete courses in mechanical drawing, geometry and physics. David usually doesn't like math and science classes, but he realizes it's a requirement of his career goals. Central is not a vocational high school, and David needs professional education and training after graduation. Postsecondary technical schools, junior and community colleges, trade associations, and the U.S. Marine Corps offer air conditioning and refrigeration
If you were David, what short-term goals would you set to acquire your specialized training in air-conditioning and refrigeration?
