Timothy’s mother has asked you not to allow her four-year-old son to nap in the afternoon. She says, “Whenever he naps he stays up until 10:00 at night. I have to get up at 5:00 in the morning to go to work. I am not getting enough sleep.” Along with the rest of the children, Timothy takes a one-hour nap almost every day. He seems to need it in order to stay in good spirits in the afternoon.

The health and mental well being of Timothy is important. The first step is to Brainstorm Ideas based on the Working Mother and then the Nanny should look at it from the child's and mother perspective.

And since Timothy do need sleep, His sleep does not exceed an hour so that the mother will have time for herself.

The decision is based on the fact that a working mother is a human being and they need to have a balance between her home and work and also the child's well being is important.
