  • Given that - The block weighs 780g

therefore ,

[tex]\bold\blue{mass \: = 780g}\\[/tex]

[tex]\bold\green{----------------}[/tex]

  • Now ,

dimensions of the given block are

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎‎ ‎ ‎ 2 cm × 5 cm × 6 cm

[tex]\bold\purple{Volume = l \times b \times h }\\\\ \bold \purple{⇢ (2 \times 5 \times 6) \: cm {}^{3}} \\\\\bold\purple{ ⇢60cm {}^{3}} [/tex]

therefore ,

[tex]\bold\blue{Volume = 60cm {}^{3}} [/tex]

[tex]\bold\green{----------------}[/tex]

  • Further ,

[tex]\bold\pink{Density = \frac{mass}{volume} }\\ \\ \bold\pink{ \cancel\frac{780 \: g}{60 \: cm {}^{3} } } \\ \\ \bold\pink{13g \: cm {}^{ - 3} }[/tex]

therefore ,

[tex]\bold\blue{Density \: = 13 \: g \: cm {}^{ - 3} }[/tex]

The mass, volume and density of the block of metal are 780 grams, 60 cm³ and 13 g/cm respectively

Volume of a rectangular prism

volume = lwh

where

  • l = length
  • w = width
  • h = height

Therefore,

volume = 6 × 5 × 2 = 60 cm³

Therefore,

mass = 780 grams

volume = 60 cm³

density = mass / volume

density = 780 / 60

density = 13 grams per centimetre
