Passage:
A group of students is studying the types of plants that grow in a field next to the school. The field is mowed regularly, but it does not get any water other than rainfall. The field has several kinds of plants that are typically found in a grassland ecosystem. But it has none of the plants found in a nearby forest ecosystem.

It's like having different animals in a different habitat. It's most likely the plants are going to grow different, because the plant's that is used to being in that habitat is going to grow normally, but the plant that isn't used to the environment it's going to not grow very well because if it needs a lot of water that's not where that plant should be. Last but not least, the plant is most likely to die because of it's environment.
