$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow x=3$

Now

$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 3x-4=4y-2$

$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 3(3)-4=4y-2$

$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 9-4=4y-2$

$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 4y-2=5$

$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow 4y=7$

$\\ \tt\hookrightarrow y=7/4$
