Quadrilaterals are shapes with four sides

The quadrilateral is a parallelogram

How to determine the shape

The coordinates of the shape is given as:

W(0, 1), X(4, 2), Y(3, -2), Z(-1, -3)

Start by calculating the slopes of WY and XZ (i.e. the diagonals) using the following slope formula

[tex]m = \frac{y_2 -y_1}{x_2 -x_1}[/tex]

So, we have:

[tex]m_{WY} = \frac{-2-1}{3-0}[/tex]

[tex]m_{WY} = -1[/tex]

[tex]m_{WY} = \frac{-3+2}{-1-3}[/tex]

[tex]m_{WY} = \frac{1}{4}[/tex]

The slopes are not opposite reciprocals, and they are not equal

From the attached graph and the slopes calculated above, we can conclude that the quadrilateral is a parallelogram
