Conflicts are seen in government as well. People are bound to disagree which most times results to conflict.

Let's look at the patterns that actually caused the conflicts during the reign of these kings.

Causes of conflicts

James I - The cause of the conflict between James I and Parliament was due to the political decisions which he made that Parliament found vexing. He summoned Parliament only and levied tax on imports and exports without the consent of Parliament.

Charles I - The cause of the conflict between Charles I and Parliament was that Parliament was condemning his policies. His policies of taxation and imprisonment were condemned by Parliament. He actually dissolved Parliament on many occasions even without their consent.

James II - The cause of the conflict between James II and Parliament was that Parliament protested against the possibility of a standing army that was led by a Roman Catholic. James II actually attempted to promote the Roman Catholic. He dismissed judges and Lieutenants who didn't some of his decisions. He went ahead to appoint Catholics to important positions.

He prorogued Parliament and eventually didn't ruled with them.
