Germany and Italy had historically enjoyed a special relationship since they fought together against the Austrian Empire and parts of their respective territories belonged to the Holy Roman Empire and the German Confederation. Italy and Germany were both part of the Triple Alliance but they became enemies during World War I.
On October 13, 1943, the government of Italy declares war on its former Axis partner Germany and joins the battle on the side of the Allies. It became a fact on September 8, with the new Italian government allowing the Allies to land in Salerno, in southern Italy, in its quest to beat the Germans back up the peninsula.
Question 2 (Answer):-
Nationalism can be positive or negative, depending on its themes and outcomes. In accordance with Europe, in the past, it was a positive idea of nationalism. But in current world, it's a negative thing.
Previously, Europe had military weapons but not highly dangerous. Now, they have developed a lot in all fields, including Military field. A combat with them might lead to the arrival of triple times more dangerous weapons that may destroy the whole world.
