We can divide the cerebral hemispheres into four lobes, which are named after the skull bone above it:

  1. Frontal lobe – Related to creative work, reasoning, personality, decision-making, skeletal muscle movement, among other functions
  2. Temporal lobe – It acts mainly in communication, relating to speech, hearing and even writing
  3. Parietal lobe – Related, among other functions, to the perception of pain, cold, heat and touches
  4. Occipital lobe – It is related to the processing of visual information

With this information, we can conclude that the cerebral cortex has the function of controlling the human in all functions, being one of the most important organs of the human.
