y=x+1

or,0=x-y+1 ........... {1}

now...

slope of line..(m1)

= -(coe of x/Coe of y)

=-(1/-1)

=1

hence the slope of line , perpendicular to line y=x+1...

is m1*m2=-1

1*m2=-1

m2 =-1

hence the slope of line perpendicular to liney=x+1... is .. -1
