Answer:

1. -1/2

2. Graph attached below:

Step-by-step explanation:

1) To find to slope of the line with two points would be the following equation:

[tex]y_{2} - y_{1} / x_{2} - x_{1}[/tex]

So let’s assume our variables and subsitute them to see that the Carma’s Working out is an error.

Form: [tex](x_{2}, y_{2}), (x_{1}, y_{1})[/tex]

[tex]y_{2} = 3[/tex]

[tex]y_{1} = 1[/tex]

[tex]x_{2} = 7[/tex]

[tex]x_{1} = 11[/tex]

[tex]3 - 1 / 7 - 11 = -1/2[/tex]

1. Error one: The point values of the slope aren‘t correctly labeled and are not the same form as in the formula.

2. Error two: The slope output is not correct, it is 2 but the slope is -1/2.

Now let’s get on the graph of Carma’s workout, I can spot that the point (-4, 5) is not plotted correctly. Instead it is plotted (4, -5). To understand clearly I will label these points on a graph, image attached below:

3. Error three: The point (-4, 5) is not plotted correctly, x should be negative and y should be positive.

4. Error four: The slope is not correct, instead the slope of the graph is negative but we need a positive slope.

Now it is time to fix Carma’s mistakes:

1) Slope: -1/2

2) Graph attached below
