The government has the right to own all land, buildings and factories in a closed economy; an economy that has no trading activity with any outside economy therefore making it entirely self-sufficient hence no imports come into the country and no exports leave the country.
Under a command economy, governments own the factors of production such as land, capital, and resources, and government officials determine when, where, and how much is produced.
