The first in is 30%, the second 25%

Step by step: first count the total amount of parts (I’ll use the second one as the example) so 4 parts, that’s the denominator- then count the shaded parts, 1, that’s the numerator. So he have the fraction 1/4. Next if you divide 1/4 you get 0.25. To turn that into a percentage, multiply by 100 (move the decimal two to the right) so it’s 25 or 25%- the multiplying mentally is more for numbers like 0.125 (1/8) which is 12.5%
That’s basically how you find any percentage that’s part/whole.
