the guiding question is "how does Shakespeare develop a theme in Romeo and Juliet.

I need to determine the theme and I need textual evidence

the theme of the book is basically enemies to lovers and that hate can be powerful but love is stronger and can fix whats broken and open the eyes of others and some textual evidence you can use is at the end of the book when prince escalu says see what a scourge is laid upon your hate that heaven finds means to kill your joys with love right after Romeo and juliet die I hope this helps or sparks some information
