Asexually
Potatoes reproduce asexually through the vegetive propagation mechanism. They have microscopic eyeballs which produce scaly leaves, and new potato plants emerge from these leaves. Only a single individual is responsible for the development of a new species.
Bacteria(Prokaryotes) reproduce asexually through binary fission, where the parent organism divides itself into two, producing genetically identical clones of itself.
