There are two numbers the second number is 1 larger than twice the first number. The sum of the reciprocals of the number is 7/10. Find the two numbers.​

Let the first no be x

• second no=2x+1

ATQ

$\\ \sf\longmapsto \dfrac{1}{x}+\dfrac{1}{2x+1}=\dfrac{7}{10}$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto \dfrac{3x+1}{2x^2+x}=\dfrac{7}{10}$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto 30x+10=14x^2+7x$

$\\ \sf\longmapsto 14x^2-23x-10=0$

On solving we get

$\\ \sf\longmapsto x=-5/14\:or\:2$
