Here’s a paragraph for skim reading :
Skin reading is when u quickly move your eyes around the words and kinda get an idea of what the text says it’s kinda a quick way to read something. It also helps you read quicker so if you needed to refresh your mind before a text skinming helps

dam bro that's a lot but don't worry I think I can get you at least a B make sure to check grammar and stuff. If you wanna add or take anything out go ahead but you're welcome
Explanation:
My preferred reading style is skimming. Skimming through a text allows you to catch keywords and draw conclusions, faster than if you were to read the passage word for word. Rapid eye movement and keywords aid in navigating through the text quickly and efficiently giving you time to focus on the big ideas of a body of text instead of the lengthy passage you would be reading otherwise.
Some drawbacks to this reading style include missing key information that may have led to a greater understanding of the material. If not done properly it may lead to several loose ends to your comprehension of the subject. Although, a way that you can ensure an avid grip on a certain topic is by skimming through the text a minimum of two times. This way any details you may have missed the first time around will be better caught afterward. Since skimming through a text is customarily quick and easy, going through the passage twice may still be quicker and further efficient than other styles.
Lastly, there are some differences to this reading style that make it superior to other styles in my opinion. Firstly, there is scanning, although these 2 styles can be easily compared to each other when you are skimming a text you are looking for the bid idea of a passage, while when you scan, you are looking for keywords that may lead you to find facts or specific data. Secondly, speed reading. When you speed read you are catching all the information at a rapid pace, that can in many cases be seen as a good thing, but when you speed read you have a lot of unnecessary information that your brain is automatically saving, making you overwork yourself and could make you miss the overall message.
