The nervous system in in charge of feeling. If you poked yourself you would feel it. There is a process that consists of two actions in the nervous system called intercellular and intracellular. Intra. is the actual feeling of the poke and inter is the signal to your head that you got poked. The nervous system plays and amazing role in our bodies. For an experiment, try placing (wet) ice to your lips or fingers and stop when they get a little numb. Try to feel bumpy or poky things. You can't tell what your feeling right? Well if we didn't have our nervous system we wouldn't be able to feel anything at all!
