Is/of=%/100
Just fill in based on the problem
What is 1700 of 1800 and you’re looking for the percent (the 100 is there simply to make the percent turn from a decimal to a whole number, so it will always be there)
1700/1800=%/100
Now cross multiply (since you are looking for the percent you can change it to “x” for the time being)
1700•100=1800•x
170000=1800x
Divide both sides by 1800 to get the percent (the x) alone
94.4444=x
