Middle schoolers were taught to not use drugs because they know what it can do to them. Their parents could have been really strict about not using drugs therefore them not doing drugs. They choose to make these good decisions and not mess up their future somehow. Middle schoolers probably had a close one to them that did drugs, and they saw the impact it has on them, which they choose not to follow for that reason. They might choose not to do drugs just simply to be responsible and be a follower of bad things.
