Which years marked the heated point of the vietnam war, as welll as worldwide protests againt the conflict??

1967 and 1968.
Nixon and Ford had to get us out later on.
Also, it wasn't really a war, more of a conflict which led to US withdrawing from Indochina and North Vietnamese victory and the annexing of South Vietnam.
