Let the numbers be 7x and 4x resp.
Also
According to question
7x -4x =15
3x=15
X=15/3
X=5
So the numbers are
7x = 7 *5 =35
4x= 4*5=20

Lets take 7:4 be 7x and 4x

7x - 4x = 15

3x = 15

x = 5
