solve the system of linear equations algebraically using the elimination method: 3x+y=19 and 4x+3y=26

-3(3x+y=19)
4x+3y=26

-9x-3y=-57
4x+3y=26

-5x=-31
x=6.2 substitute x into the equation:

3(6.2)+y=19
18.6+y=19
y=.4
