June 18,1864
it’s 12:00Am currently,Sarah is in bed and my mother is in the guest room, she seemed a bit tired and ill, i hope that she is ok, i made her some tea and crumpets, Sarah tried to grab some off the table while they were cooling, she thought she was sneaky, but she had eaten all her dinner so i let her, for dinner i made some soup with carrots,broccoli,and potatoes.Sarah really liked it, i’m grateful the rich man brought us this food, he ate dinner with us and i have taken a bit of a liking to him,me and him are going to meet at the town festival tomorrow, i’ll be working as one of the maiden dancers but we will hopefully be able to talk,today i have to go buy some ink so i can continue to write in this little brown leather journal, there is so much happening in my life, and it’s all been amazing! It’s as if Sarah is a good luck charm.I must finish writing since the candle is about to burn out very soon, mother told me i should take a break and stop working so hard, but if i don’t work hard then Sarah can’t have a good life, as her mother i must care for her and do what’s best for her.

Sarah woke me up to go to the festival, yesterday once i had bought ink i forgot to start writing, i spent the day with Sarah and the rich man, Sarah seems to like the rich man and me and him will be leaving soon to the festival, i will write during my break, the rich man has left to go help set up all the tents and food, Sarah left to help also, my mother seemed to have fallen even more ill, i hope that she gets better soon.frederickson is coming over,mable, i mean mother, is joining us at the festival. Mr.Harrison is coming to the village to come and meet me,Sarah and mother!i’m super excited to meet him. Fredrickson proposed to me even though we just met i didn’t know what to say so I acted like I didn't hear him i got so confused and wasn’t ready for a new relationship, me and him had just met.i must get going to the festival now, i hope i don’t see fredrickson there even though i wish to see him.
