Well with volleyball seeing as there are many more people that are right handed then left handed, it would be a disadvantage to a left handed person learning to play. A advantage to left handed person would be that since right handed players aren't really expecting a left handed person, being left handed in volleyball can help because hitting with the left hand spins the ball differently then if it were to be hit with the right hand making it difficult to receive.
