The life that Chris chose is certainly not for everyone. Not having a home or roots runs counter to the pack or family conditioning of most human beings. I think Chris came to the conclusion, a little too late, that he needed people in his life. Chris's counter culture exploration worked for him as a young man but I wonder if he would have felt the same way had he lived longer.
