(in Judaism) the law of God as revealed to Moses and recorded in the first five books of the Hebrew scriptures (the Pentateuch).
It is like the bible in a way. Each prophet sent by God was given a book. Those prophets were to delivere a message by God to follow the straight path and be good people.
