describe a sequence of transformations that maps triangle abc onto a''b''c'', a student starts with a reflection over the x-axis. how should the student complete the sequence of transformations to map triangle abc?

Respuesta :

Note that both triangles are congruent, so no dilations/contractions occured.

Going clockwise, we have ABC but A''C''B'', so a reflection occurred, not a rotation.

Thus, one sequence of transformations is:

1. Reflect ABC across the x-axis and call this new triangle A'B'C'.
2. Translate A'B'C' 2 units right and 6 units up so that its image is A''B''C''.

I hope my answer has come to your help. God bless and have a nice day ahead!
