I'm sure my memory serves me well, so Monet painted over 30 views of the facade of Rouen Cathedral. He followed his own idea to capture facade of cathedral at different times of the day and year in order to show how and express its changes during being under different lighting conditions, so he wanted to show the same figure from several points of view.
