To figure out how much of a discount she received, you use the following equation:
Percent Off = 1 - (minus) Sale Price/Original Price (It would be Sale Price over Original Price ((written like a fraction)) but I can't write it like that here).
So, using that formula, the equation would be:
Percent Off = 1 - $30/$40
If you do the math correctly, you should get the percent off is 25!
