What will happen to a population of predators if there is a sudden, temporary increase in the number of prey?

The population of predators will be uniform with no change.

The population of predators will increase first and then decrease slowly.

The population of predators will increase continuously.

Respuesta :

The population of predators will increase first and then decrease slowly
The population of predators will have exponential growth, until it reaches carrying capacity and then it will decrease slowly. This is due to the fact that with the greater amount of resources, competition among the predators reduces allowing for more life to be sustained.
