How does Asia's diverse landscape support the continent's many industries? Give two examples of climate zones or natural resources that support industry on the continent.

Respuesta :

Asia is a continent that is very diverse in its landscape, climate, and it is very rich with natural resources.

Two examples would be:

1. Southwestern Asia

This region is loaded with oil and natural gas. The extraction is relatively easy because it is either in shallow waters, or on land where there's no vegetation. The oil and natural gas industries are the ones that bring in most of the income, and this is the part of the world that pretty much controls the price of the oil and gas.

2. The tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia

The tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia are suitable places for growing the the Para rubber tree. The rubber is one of the products that has one of the biggest demands on the global market. This region is the biggest producer of rubber, so much, that most of rubber that everyone uses in their daily lives is produced in this part of the world, thus making the rubber industry flourish.

Answer:

The sheer expanse of the Asian continent includes numerous climate zones and ecosystems. From the subarctic climate of North Asia, to the tropical rainforests of Indonesia, to the deserts of Central Asia, the continent is home to a diverse range of plants, animals, people, and industries. Where arable land exists, countries often grow tea, rice, wheat, and other tropical agricultural products. These products can support both domestic and international needs. Opportunities for fishing exist along coastal regions, where the continent is surrounded by three oceans. Meanwhile, the land in the mountains yields opportunities for hydroelectricity and mining. Oil is a plentiful resource in many of the deserts of Central Asia, particularly near the Caspian Sea. Manufacturing plants exist throughout the continent to assemble natural resources or create synthetic resources for export.
