What are the major differences between prokaryones and eukaryotes?(organelles, DNA
location, etc.)

Respuesta :

Differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes:

Organelles

  • Prokaryotes do not have membrane- bound organelles.
  • Eukaryotes contain membrane-bound cell organelles.

Nuclear membrane, nucleus and DNA

  • Prokaryotes do not have a well-defined nuclear membrane. The coiled DNA particles lies naked in the cytoplasm. Such a structure is called nucleoid or incipient nucleus.
  • Eukaryotes have a well-defined nuclear membrane around the nucleus within which the DNA lies.

Examples

  • Prokaryotic cell example : Bacteria
  • Eukaryotic cell example : Cheek cell
