[tex]SO_{4}[/tex] = 32.1 + (16 x 4) = 96.1

  • Finding the fraction of the compound that is Na+

[tex]\frac{46}{96.1 + 46} = \frac{460}{1421}[/tex]

  • We now know that per gram, 460/1421g are Na+

In 25g, [tex]\frac{460}{1421} * 25 = 8.09289.... = 8g[/tex]
